Senior Manager, Equity and Belonging, People Ops
As senior manager of equity and belonging as part of the people operations team at Omidyar Network, Simone leads the execution of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives that support the firm’s goal of maintaining an innovative and holistic employee experience.
Prior to joining Omidyar Network, Simone served as talent and analytics lead at Upstart, an online lending company. In this role, she developed and executed strategies to increase diversity within the firm’s talent pipeline across teams, and introduced programming to promote inclusion in the company culture. As assistant director of admissions for Stanford Graduate School of Business, Simone developed and implemented a program to provide college students from diverse backgrounds with enhanced information about the school’s MBA program and application process. She also served as the director of programs at Beyond 12, a San Francisco-based college persistence organization, managing the firm’s personalized and peer college coaching programs.
Simone earned an MBA and M.A. in education from Stanford University and a B.S. in finance from the University of Connecticut.
