As an associate on the Beneficial Technology team Jesús supports the sourcing and evaluation of venture investments and influence tools that catalyze the supply of purpose-driven technology.
Prior to Omidyar Network, Jesús served as a venture capital fellow with Rethink Education, where he focused on early- and growth-stage companies that are developing technological solutions for twenty-first century learning. Previously, he was an investment associate with Global Partnerships in Nicaragua and Kenya, where he conducted investments across Latin America and East Africa. He has also served as a management consultant with Deloitte. Jesús launched his own venture TxtRoo, which empowered non-smartphone users to interact with local businesses via SMS.
Jesús graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in science, technology and society, and a minor in Latin American studies. He received his MBA from Columbia Business School, where he served as co-president of Microlumbia, the $120k student-run impact investing fund.
